Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or third-party trackers. There is no consent banner because there is nothing optional to consent to.

What is stored

• ufp:v1 — your preferences (theme, text size, grade, vehicle, filters, last area, saved station IDs). Strictly functional.
• ufp-theme — remembers light or dark mode. Strictly functional.
• ufp:ipgeo — your approximate city from the one-off IP lookup, kept in sessionStorage for up to 6 hours. It is cleared when the tab closes.
• Service worker cache — stores the app shell and data so the site works offline. This is not a cookie and contains no personal data.

Why no banner

Under PECR, strictly necessary storage does not require consent. We ask for nothing beyond what the feature you chose needs.

Third-party partner links

If you click an external link to an automotive service partner (such as BookMyGarage, MoneySuperMarket or FuelCards), that partner service may set their own functional or tracking cookies on their website in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

Controlling storage

You can clear this data at any time in your browser settings. Clearing it resets the app to its defaults.

If this changes

If we ever add analytics or advertising, we will ask for consent first and update this page.
